A visionary who expertly taps into market trends thanks to his experience with world-class prestigious chefs in Paris, London and Lausanne, Rachid Benboudy also specialises in management having trained at the MGM Grand Hotel and the Las Vegas Casino. Merging these two strengths, in 2013 he decided to set up his own company in the form of Bijoux Catering, a luxury bespoke caterer, which is taking his reputation to a whole new level.
After working alongside triple-starred chef Alain Ducasse in the kitchens of the Plaza Athénée, the legendary Parisian hotel, Rachid Benboudy settled in Switzerland in 2001 where he teamed up with Edgard Bovier at the Ermitage in Küsnacht, before following the renowned chef to the Lausanne Palace. With this valuable experience under his belt, he took on roles in London and Las Vegas, before returning to Switzerland where his career continued at Lausanne’s Château d’Ouchy restaurant. In 2013, the entrepreneurial chef founded Bijoux Catering. The company’s early focus was in the events and aviation sectors through catering for private jets, and soon it branched out into civil aviation catering and aviation logistics. Before long, the company had won a first contract with Niki Airlines, then Turkish Airlines. Bijoux owes its phenomenal success to the vision of its founder.
